i officially hate a certain department from the university
i have heard how ridiculous they can be, i just never had to experience it
technicalities and ass-covering seems to be the main order of the day with these people
no wonder we've become a laughing stock for other people
the first instinct seems to be deflecting the attention away
and rubbishing any negative reports that comes their way
then at the end of the day
we are the ones that are directly affected
haha. High class education
yeah, in kiss-ass and protecting your own ass
fuck you

do you like b*****e?
CAUTION: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS A LOT OF SUGGESTIVE STUFF, PARTICULARLY OF THE ANIME TYPE, SO IF YOU ARE DECIDEDLY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH GETTING A FEW LAUGHS FROM IT THEN DON'T PRESS PLAY
I JUST NEEEED TO POST THIS! XD
I really think it's quite a well done song, nothing fancy about it, but the concept and lyrics are just.... awesome. Had been having a pretty rough few weeks and this kinda made my mood a lot lighter! =D
Now I need to find lyrics so I can sing along... XD Found it.
kuku jiao!
When I look at you and you want me
With that alligator in your eyes
And I really gotta wonder why
Yeah I really gotta wonder why
You don't even talk to me
Like a monkey in a bra in a zebra tree
And all I really want you to say
"Do you wanna bukka-bukkake?
Doesn't matter if you think this song is wrong or right
Cause you know I'm always RIGHT!
Turn on the radio!
Julia, do you want somebody
No one wanna be nobody
I won't be there for you
Julia, do you need somebody
No one wanna be nobody
I won't be there for you
Turn on the radio!
Well I gotta know just the other day
you know it doesn't really matter what you do or say
They'll never understand
I'll never hold your hand
And now you got me on the phone
Why won't you ever, ever, never, never leave me alone?
And if I broke your heart
You know I never gave a
Doesn't matter if you think this song is wrong or right
Cause you know I'm always RIGHT!
Turn on the radio!
Julia, do you want somebody
No one wanna be nobody
I won't be there for you
Julia, do you need somebody
No one wanna be nobody
I won't be there for you
Turn on the radio!
Kai lalio!
B! U! K! K A K E YEAH! Bukkake, bukkake, bukkake, bukkake udon!
And if I could I would throw wasabi in your eyes
Yeah the writing's on the wall
So let me tell you now
I don't love you, I don't even like your name!
Julia, do you want somebody
No one wanna be nobody
I won't be there for you
Julia, do you need somebody
No one wanna be nobody
I won't be there for you
Turn on the radio!
Julia, julia, Turn on the radio
Do you like bukkake...udon?

ransom
I've been writing my 225 script religiously, so religiously that I now have three drafts and I have digressed so far from my original idea I wonder if I'm doing this just to please the guy marking it. I mean, though he might say, we as screenplay writers are allowed to at any point say "Screw you I think this will work" despite whatever others say, it is a lot more tricky when the person who asks you to change it in such a manner is the same person who will determine your grade.
That's the point I am feeling rather sore about now. I am a musical person so my initial idea was something light, sweet, romantic, and well musical. Though we should aim to make a classical narrative (for this one, at least) is it so important that we must dramatize everything to the point that every script must end in extreme emotional distress? Mine has a twist at the end, but somehow the feedback I am getting seems to be "NO FUCK, SHE'S NOT ANGRY ENOUGH, DAMNNIT. MAKE HER WANT TO STRANGLE HIM! MAKE HER WANT TO CHOP OFF HIS D***, THEN AT THE END MAKE HER CRY AND THREATEN SUICIDE BEFORE he finally springs the surprise."
Seriously, believable, realistic? In an Asian context I find this hard to believe since most Asians I believe, are not as outspoken as to cry breakup so quickly especially in a long-term relationship. I mean, maybe Caucasians are so open, maybe we SHOULD be so outspoken to clear up any doubts, but is it so hard to expect a different dimension, a different sort of reaction from someone in the same situation? Does the whole world have to flare up over small little incidents to the point that we must take things to the brink of emotional meltdown before we are happy?
If you'd like to see it and give me some comments, do get me on MSN.

this is the bomb
And the customary avalanche of work to complete after recess week is here. By the end of October I am supposed to have:
- Completed writing script, shot, and already in post production of a 3-5 minute short film
- Completed the planning, script breakdown, location scouting, stripboarding, casting lists, DOOD lists, basically the whole shebang of a Hollywood feature film
- Completed mugging for COM207
- Completed the entire GV11 project (this is the cakewalk really)
- Caught up with TCM teachings
And screenwriting isn't easy. Imagining it in your mind is a lot easier than writing it out on paper, but sadly others don't have an electrical imaging system where they can visualise what you are thinking about. Scary, isn't it.

second class citizen
Sometimes I wonder if I place an invisible sell-by date on everyone I know.
Or I wonder if there is a subconscious sell-by date on me placed by others.
I'm not the kind to kill and stab people in the back to reach the top.
But sometimes I really want to know how it feels to not be in the second tier.
In life, in my relationships with others.
Someone give me a slap for thinking I'm just that good.
Maybe it's just the emo-ness from too much solitude.
Never mind anyway.
Oh great my vocalist quit, that's one less thing for me to do in the weekends. Good luck with your future ventures, Reeves.

the recess week update
I am super duper sad that recess week has flown by just like that, I mean I'm not even well rested in any way. Had to return to school twice for different things, and spent some days doing really redundant stuff which I am not really in the mood to talk about.
On a brighter note (literally), BLNL was pretty... okay. I mean I've never enjoyed 'music' played in clubs, and I don't really enjoy drinking, but I stayed with the rest till they left. Okay, it helps that I could walk home from butterfact, but it's really a thing to note since I left like at 10pm last year. This year we left at 2.30 plus. Other than that, nothing much notable except for the neon clothes everyone wore (mostly) and the effort that people took to dress up
Some of the people at my house putting on hairspray before making the short walk to butterfact. The real surprise is that Amos really seldom dresses up, isn't it.
The Fusilli people who were there, who were one of the few reasons I actually shelled out $25 for the lack-of-food dinner and dance.
Me, Jason, Shannon. I realised, about 2 days belatedly that Jason's shirt was custom-ed to mirror the event name. And I was telling him about my plan to buy a bright yellow shirt and imprint red hearts all over it, which would have been so.... [insert positive/negative word here]
This is obviously posed. Qian Qi there by the way, who surprisingly (to me) appeared to have actually worn that dress before (many other people bought specifically for this)
Awesome OGL partner, Hendrick and Xyra (Jia Yi)
Awesome OGL partner, awesome Vpaul who was supposed to look pissed here. She really was.
Former Mee Sua people, I came into the frame without their knowledge
Me and VPAUL. She was really pissed that night in a very funny way.
The OGLs! Pretty fun group to hang around with, but usually not everyone turns up. Haha, the guilty know who.
Hendric, Xiao Xuan (who looked very different), and Edwin, the neon king!
Yeah anyway, so the F1 is this weekend and I'm really baffled to why anyone bothers. I mean, I just got back from the tv in my living room, and I've been sitting there watching the qualifiers, and I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on. Besides the initial excitement seeing those expensive very fast cars travel on the roads which my bus travels on, after a while of seeing timings and numbers on screen I had absolutely no idea why people would watch it. It's not even exciting for god's sake. And for girls, I mean in soccer, basketball, or even tennis they get to guy-watch, and other guys get to babe-watch. In F1 the most prominent people you see are the pit crew. And Tay Ping Hui, on Channel 5. Apart from that, the helicopter shots were pretty nice, it's a feature that in Singapore is really reserved only for the NDP shows, so to see the Marina Bay area from top-down was pretty cool.
And did you know that those fucking cars (if you can call them that) are so friggin loud you can hear their whines from my window. And just now while they were all revving at the same time it really sounded quite satanic, like the whines of the ghosts that prowl err.. Marina Bay.
Ok I really don't know what else to write.

this is an update
Hello, I really feel the greatest inertia to do anything productive (includes blogging) at the moment but I have been instigated to blog so here goes.
Had a little reunion dinner with the 22nd council people! Was kind of nice, and Pastamania was very overpriced and inflation really sucks. I got a stomachache right after eating it. Anyway that was like reminiscent of sad AJ days where we all always slog till late to do the evil tyrants' bidding. Sadly a lot of people could not make it because they were not free/they were overseas/they are overseas/they are antisocial/we forgot to ask them. And the guilty did not really own up but I guess 10 out of 30 is a pretty good turnout. Vivo is dead crowded and irritatingly cold on Sunday so I rule that I will not go there unless I am dragged there.
Why am I blogging this way? Blame the influence of the foremothers of sensible and mature blogging (ahem).
In other news, had to travel to ulu NTU to tidy up my room and take a PDX10 for a SPECTRUM piece. I haven't been able to contact Sarah and Jinhe without whom I would be severely unwilling to do any shooting, so if they happen to be reading this please get into contact with me immediately. In so doing I messed up my first official day of term break by wasting the whole bloody day commuting to Boon Lay and doing stupid stuff such as ironing my clothes. Why is it such a big piece of news that I iron clothes? I severely dislike the feel and look of crumpled clothing so I like them ironed okayy. That it makes little difference is besides the point. And OMFG why the hell is there so much hair on the floor. Yes I think I am starting to sound like one, or two, or three, or a whole load of people I know who happen to be of the opposite sex.
Ok, then there was kbox. Sadly I am having a cough and even more sadly nobody cared to let me sing 洋葱. . And worse I never knew it was written by Mayday's Ashin so no wonder SJ forced me to listen to it like a gazillion years ago. The kbox outing was like for OGLs only, but sadly the 3 standard absentees did not make it. Jason and Jacq just have a crazed obsession with the prude of a tramp that is Britney Spears. And I totally cannot stand songs without a sense of melody (I really mean songs with electronic beats and looped and black singers going UH UH YEAH YEAH CMON) So anyway, yeah it was rather fun despite that irritating buzzing sound that went like "I'm a slave for you". No offense, I will still love you all anyway hahaha.
I am also very sad that after my AX1500G gave up on me a week later the adapter gave up on me. Means now I need a new 9V adapter for my replacement G2.1u, thats like another 20-50 dollars gone =<
Okay, at the end of this post, anyone who totally hates the way I am writing this post please tag and voice your unhappiness, so it makes a point that this is a totally err, mature blogging style. AHEM.

tribute to the sick gods

It is my wish that everyone who is sick with the flu at the moment could use this as your display pic, to show our solidarity against like, the god/goddess of sick. I have been sick for about a week, and the NTU medicine only did the job of changing my phlegm from green to whitish-color. I don't know if this is good but I don't feel too much better. And listening to MLTR at 3.30am really just, I don't know, doesn't really makes one feel better.
I think i have a talent in designing very lame emoticons. Blown-up ones though..

Avra vs. Abu
This is a football-related entry, so it's ok if you don't get it.
I get a bit irritated that left right and center new clubs are becoming cash rich, but nothing irritates me more than Manchester City becoming richer than Chelsea. Ok so instead of this like neutralizing the effects of Chelsea on everyone else, it's just going to start a bidding war ain't it? I mean since both clubs' owners like to play fantasy football and neither of them wants to lose.
The great winners will then be the 'everyone else'. Whatever they say Real Madrid must have been slapping their hands in glee selling Robinho for 32 mil (or was it more). Here's a player who is whiny and irritating all the time, only recently came of class and wanted to go to Chelsea, a club who irritated the hell out of you. And you get 32 mil for someone you bought at a fraction of that, you get to irritate the hell out of Chelsea, and stuff.
Though I wouldn't want them to sell Fabregas or anyone else, I do note that everyone has a price. If Mr Abu feels that Fabregas is worth more than the Emirates Stadium, go ahead, take Fab, and pay for our stadium so we can finally flaunt that cash at the now-bankrupt Manchester United, offering to take C.Ronaldo (ok probably Mr. Abu would have settled Man Utd's debt for Ronaldo). Correction, maybe Arsenal will buy over the French league, then get all our young Frenchmen to invade England. Maybe Barclays will make it the Barclays French Premiership or something. Then all managers have to give interviews in French.

bola
Finally had the motivation and err... got through the laziness of re-encoding to upload a youtube version. Pardon the low video quality I didn't want to spend too much time and youtube has a 200mb file limit so it had to be small.
The story isn't too strong but for only our second outing we can only get better, and not to mention this was on PDX10s, and created in 8 days only (plan, shoot, post production) so while it's better than 48 hours by a great margin it's not the best that we can do, and we know it.
