a mockingbird's dilemma

Want something? get it on eBay. I'm serious, especially if you are talking about imports which are not available in Singapore - which means most likely nobody else will be seen on the streets with that object or something. You can always just get a debit card, which is quite easy to get and can be used.

Anyways, do avoid loopholes of trying to bid for too many items. For example, in my search for a mockingbird, I got one bid (which i ended up buying) a new Masterpiece Mockingbird for about 770 SGD. I also bid for a European seller, an NJ Classic (a higher end mockingbird) for 170 Euroes from a European seller, that's about $350 bucks. It's unlikely I will win, but there's still a chance cause theres only 4 and a half days left... so even if it's redundant, $350 SGD plus about a hundred SGD for shipping is a very very very good snip for a brand new NJ Classic Mockingbird. If that happens, I'll end up with TWO mockingbirds. Means I either keep both and let it become my *signature* or I sell one of them. Yeah, I'll try both and sell the one I dun like most (though I think I'd love both) to a local buyer for a bit more expensive, but cheaper than if he bought it online. Woo.

Right. There's 4 days and a total of 8 idiots bidding for the same item (me included) I'm winning the bid with 4 days to go. Though, I do hope someone outbids me so I can pull out and not be left in a scenario where TWO electric guitars are delivered to my house and I get a nasty scolding from my parents.

1 litre of tears! *sob*

I swear, Koreans and Japanese people must spend a lot of their time crying! I mean, they sure do know how to make people feel for their stories. And I'm saying this after watching 1 litre of tears until the final episode (I have it but I've not watched it yet). ={ But then again I'm not ashamed of being touched to a tear or two by this masterpiece, really! I'm not about to spoil the story for anyone, but in case you want the series (or other series for that matter) you can always contact me!

Speaking of masterpieces, I'm in a bit of a quandry.

Now, living in SG is really pretty good, with what they say about the high availability of consumer goods, high standard of living etc (Econs...) Though I'm not quite pleased cause NOBODY HERE STOCKS B.C. RICH GUITARS!!! And it sucks knowing this cause when there are stuff you want that are made in the USA, you got to 1) Have a credit card 2) 90% of the time see, but cannot touch 3) the freight and transport charges often cost a lot more than the product itself. Now this sucks bad, cause I'll show you an example of the guitar I want to get, the BC RICH Mockingbird.

This here is a BC RICH Bronze Mockingbird, and it's the only Mockingbird available in SG aside from platinum, from that store called Davis Guitar. It costs $295 SGD the last I looked, has a bolt-on neck design, 24 frets, dotted inlays, rosewood fretboard, chrome hardware, 2 standard BC Rich humbuckers, 1 volume and 1 tone switch and an Agathis body and Maple neck (the wood it's made of). Note that the guitar's top is actually flat and dull, even under stage lights. Definitely a beginner guitar.

This here is called the Mockingbird Masterpiece Guitar, which costs $399 USD (about $600 SGD) everywhere online I looked. As it's name suggests, it does look like a masterpiece. With a bolt-on neck design, 24 frets, block or cloud inlays (cloud inlays look DAMN DAMN CHIO I SWEAR, but only some dealers still have them in stock) ,rosewood fretboard, chrome hardware, 2 "B.D.S.M" pickups (which stand for Broad Dynamic Sonically Matched, they claim, but I highly doubt that!), 2 volume and 1 tone switch, an Agathis body and Maple neck. Hence, if you actually compare the two, the difference is the finish - this one is sloped and the top is AAA grade wood, and the headstock is the traditional headstock design. My only problem with this is the bolt-on design, which makes it hard to reach frets 18-24 quickly, one of the reasons why I want a mockingbird. In terms of the wood also, I found that Agathis is a cheap-ass wood used in guitars to reduce costs. But I can live with the wood.

This is another one available for $449 USD, about $670 SGD. Well its not really the one shown in the pic, but an older model that looks like this as I'm lazy to download the picture and then landscape it, I'll just show something similar. Anyways, in short, this is the real snatch of the above. Neck-through construction, 24 frets, Nato European wood or something, cloud inlays, ebony fingerboard, 2 volume, 1 tone, et cetera. Well I'm getting lazy to type -.-

Anyways, my point is, shipping costs $89 USD which is like a hundred and fifty dollars in Singapore money... that alot just to get it here. But I want it. Boo.

you should not kill mockingbirds

Actually, you should not be cruel to animals =P

I'm spending quite a bit of money on my kuchikurang PC - like so far its about $400 or so, and probably more on the way. Thanks to the mainboard and processor of Ben's, my PC is pretty much bearable now, though the casing is very off (I'm still using the P3 casing, which does not exactly fit the mainboard, PCI and AGP cards very well but it's okay.

I hope whoever comes here finds the new picture nice.

Been whiling my time away doing, uh. Watching many many TV shows, from Anime (Bleach) to Ang Moh TV shows (I got the full two seasons of Prison Break, full 3 seasons of House MD, then some episodes for Heroes, et cetera lah.) Playing Battlefield Vietnam a lot as well.

Haha, it's a very nice game, really, though it's kind of old. And it's really a bit strange that even though the US side got better weapons and machines etc, it's a lot harder to kill VC (Vietcong) than US or South Vietnamese soldiers in the game. Bias? Maybe, haha.

See, I'm really quite bored.

I want to buy a mockingbird!!! But I can't afford the original, even with my paycheck =( It's like 2000 USD at least, I'd think I'll wait till I'm older before I get one.

And I also want to buy a new GFX card, though I'm not quite sure what I want it for.

Since I'm bored, I'll just promote Bali. Just kidding.
