the recess week update

I am super duper sad that recess week has flown by just like that, I mean I'm not even well rested in any way. Had to return to school twice for different things, and spent some days doing really redundant stuff which I am not really in the mood to talk about.

On a brighter note (literally), BLNL was pretty... okay. I mean I've never enjoyed 'music' played in clubs, and I don't really enjoy drinking, but I stayed with the rest till they left. Okay, it helps that I could walk home from butterfact, but it's really a thing to note since I left like at 10pm last year. This year we left at 2.30 plus. Other than that, nothing much notable except for the neon clothes everyone wore (mostly) and the effort that people took to dress up

Some of the people at my house putting on hairspray before making the short walk to butterfact. The real surprise is that Amos really seldom dresses up, isn't it.

The Fusilli people who were there, who were one of the few reasons I actually shelled out $25 for the lack-of-food dinner and dance.

Me, Jason, Shannon. I realised, about 2 days belatedly that Jason's shirt was custom-ed to mirror the event name. And I was telling him about my plan to buy a bright yellow shirt and imprint red hearts all over it, which would have been so.... [insert positive/negative word here]

This is obviously posed. Qian Qi there by the way, who surprisingly (to me) appeared to have actually worn that dress before (many other people bought specifically for this)

Awesome OGL partner, Hendrick and Xyra (Jia Yi)

Awesome OGL partner, awesome Vpaul who was supposed to look pissed here. She really was.

Former Mee Sua people, I came into the frame without their knowledge

Me and VPAUL. She was really pissed that night in a very funny way.

The OGLs! Pretty fun group to hang around with, but usually not everyone turns up. Haha, the guilty know who.

Hendric, Xiao Xuan (who looked very different), and Edwin, the neon king!

Yeah anyway, so the F1 is this weekend and I'm really baffled to why anyone bothers. I mean, I just got back from the tv in my living room, and I've been sitting there watching the qualifiers, and I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on. Besides the initial excitement seeing those expensive very fast cars travel on the roads which my bus travels on, after a while of seeing timings and numbers on screen I had absolutely no idea why people would watch it. It's not even exciting for god's sake. And for girls, I mean in soccer, basketball, or even tennis they get to guy-watch, and other guys get to babe-watch. In F1 the most prominent people you see are the pit crew. And Tay Ping Hui, on Channel 5. Apart from that, the helicopter shots were pretty nice, it's a feature that in Singapore is really reserved only for the NDP shows, so to see the Marina Bay area from top-down was pretty cool.

And did you know that those fucking cars (if you can call them that) are so friggin loud you can hear their whines from my window. And just now while they were all revving at the same time it really sounded quite satanic, like the whines of the ghosts that prowl err.. Marina Bay.

Ok I really don't know what else to write.
